Finally bit the bullet and bought the new machine. An upgrade from the old faithful that I new I had to do sooner or later. Loving the new machine, now with a 66HP Kubota engine, should give me a little more torque, but the jury is still out on the new Razor Cutting System. I’m going to keep an open mind whilst keeping accurate records for cutter teeth costs over the next 6 months. Initial gut feeling though; I’m not convinced its any quicker than the Greenteeth cutter wheel and I can’t see yet that it’s going to be cheaper to run! As usual Carlton and Orange are charging rip off prices for their consumables, which will force me to go else where. I’ll give it 6 months and make the decision on whether to keep the Razor Cut or go back to Greenteeth. When you’re doing over 400 hours a year, it’s all about the bottom line!
